Transport + Energy Founder and Editorial Director Alec Peachey recently sat down with Evolt Charging Managing Director Justin Meyer on the latest in its Talking Transport + Energy series.

The interview included discussion of the rapidly evolving world of electric vehicle (EV) charging, and as the market continues to grow, so too does the demand for smarter, more reliable and accessible charging.

But what does it take to navigate such a fast-moving sector, and what does it take to support its continued growth?

This video assesses Evolt’s journey, the development of a manufacturer-agnostic approach, the challenges facing businesses investing in EV charging, and the wider trends and opportunities that are shaping the industry.

Justin Meyer, Managing Director of Evolt Charging, has overseen the business through a period of development in the UK’s EV charging market, where operators are increasingly required to support diverse charging technologies and meet the needs of both public and commercial customers.

The company has recently strengthened its position through partnerships with charging equipment manufacturers, including KEBA and Ratio EV, expanding its ability to provide maintenance and technical support across different charging hardware platforms.

In July 2026, Evolt announced an agreement to become KEBA’s strategic service partner in the UK, providing driver, host and field maintenance support for the manufacturer’s AC and DC charging stations. The partnership reflects a wider industry requirement for dependable service provision as charging networks grow in scale and complexity.

Evolt has also become Ratio EV’s first accredited service and maintenance partner, extending its support capabilities across commercial, workplace and public charging applications.
