Transport + Energy Forum announces agenda

Transport + Energy Forum set for lively debate as a diverse agenda and top speakers are revealed.

The third edition of the Forum on 21 November at Warwick Conferences takes the theme ‘Moving from action to delivery: fulfilling the transition to a decarbonised future’, as it continues to track the evolution of decarbonisation, with sessions focused on The Conversation, The Delivery and The Future.

Transport + Energy Forum mobilises the sectors to collaborate across energy networks, fuel types, infrastructure and vehicles and is unique in its offer of fully funded places to 60 qualified local authority representatives, out of a total of an expected 300 delegates.

“We are delighted to announce our agenda of sessions, presentations and debates featuring an impressive line-up of speakers, who will be sure to spark off lively discussion both inside and outside the room,” commented Alec Peachey, Founder and Editorial Director for Transport + Energy.

“The networking opportunities the Forum provides will give delegates a chance to meet a variety of industry leaders and with 60 local authorities attending, it’s a unique opportunity to get in front of some key stakeholders and influencers.”

The format of the conference encourages interaction between delegates, with a variety of session formats, including keynote presentations, panel discussions, TEF* style talks, an Oxford debate, Conversations with Councils round tables, trade association takeover panel and built-in networking breaks.

Speakers include senior representatives from the Office for Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV), National Grid Electricity Distribution, Jaguar Land Rover, The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT), Green Finance Institute, Road Haulage Association (RHA), Places for London, Sainsbury’s and SGN Retail.

After the event, drawing from the debate and discussions, a Transport + Energy delivery plan will be created, which will seek to provide tangible outputs that can be used to help inform government on future plans to support both the clean energy and transport sectors, including electric vehicles and renewable energy.

Transport + Energy Awards will be presented at a dinner on the evening of the conference. The awards cover 11 categories, which are relevant and open to all professionals from across the sectors, with categories covering product, technology, partnerships, collaborations, projects, schemes and a special award for the industry’s brightest rising star. Nominations are open until Monday 16 September.

With the conference and awards taking place on the campus of Warwick University, the organisers are offering overnight delegates the opportunity to tour their manufacturing, apprenticeship and engineering facilities, where delegates can meet specialists in materials, batteries, laser welding, CT scanning and metrology.
