The Transport + Energy webinar entitled ‘Overcoming local authority challenges in the EV space’ is now available to watch on demand.
The event, which was delivered in association with the Local Council Roads Innovation Group (LCRIG), took place on 25 May and was chaired by Alec Peachey.
The event featured the following panelists:
- Dan Turner, Low Carbon City Officer (Planning), Plymouth City Council
- Antony Henderson – Head of EV Infrastructure Policy and Regulation, Office for Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV)
- Sophie Adams – Head Of Consumer Experience, Office for Zero Emission Vehicles
- Jonathan Murray – Policy & Operations Director, Zemo Partnership (formerly Low Carbon Vehicle Partnership)
The webinar saw a number of subject areas covered including: the role of OZEV; implementing charging infrastructure; educating consumers; importance of transport and energy sectors working together; local authority successes and challenges.
Transport + Energy publisher and editor Alec Peachey said: “This was a really interesting event and a real honour to chair. It was particularly interesting to hear about the importance of both the transport and energy sectors working together and how bridging the gap between them is critical to ensuring a smooth transition to mass adoption of electric vehicles. Ultimately, I hope that the local authorities who watched the event will have gained some helpful advice to help them overcome challenges they’re facing in this space. We will be running a roundup of some of the key points that came out of the event in due course. In the meantime you can watch the event on demand via the LCRIG website.”
