European ultra-fast charging infrastructure firm IONITY has launched IONITY Fleet, a solution designed specifically for corporate electric vehicle fleets.

The product aims to deliver an efficient, flexible, and sustainable charging solution that meets the growing demands of modern fleet management.

It offers competitive charging rates and flexible tariff models tailored to a range of fleet sizes and usage profiles.

The scheme has centralised billing and management, which are handled by IONITY, as well as streamlined administrative tasks for fleet operators and offering better cost control, it said.

With more than 4,800 ultra-fast charging points providing 350 kW across its network, IONITY aims to significantly reduce charging times, helping companies save time and boost fleet productivity, the company said. All IONITY charging infrastructure is powered by 100% renewable energy too.

A key feature of IONITY Fleet is its new RFID card for businesses, providing seamless access to all IONITY charging stations across Europe. The card offers an instant charging experience with no need for authentication or login. Business customers plug in the car and tap the card to begin charging.

Companies with fleets larger than 250 vehicles can customise the card with their own branding for integration into their corporate identity too.

The company said it was making the move to seize “a significant opportunity” which was driven by corporate fleets representing more than half of all new cars sold annually in Europe. With the EU’s target to decarbonise fleets, initiatives supporting the transition to EVs are expected to grow.

Simon Oetter, Head of CPO B2B at IONITY, said:

“We’re seeing a strong rise in demand for electric fleet solutions as more companies embrace sustainable mobility.

“We are thrilled to support this transition with an efficient and scalable charging solution that perfectly meets the needs of this rapidly growing market.”
