Local authorities invited to EV charging infrastructure event
Local authority representatives are being invited to join a free insights and networking event in London to help their understanding of electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure.
More powers are being devolved and the responsibility to deliver effective EV charging plans is falling on teams at a local level. Understanding how to roll out plans that will work for all constituents, as well as businesses operating in the region, is critical.
The “Charge Forward” networking reception will outline what success looks like for EV charging. Industry experts will present and be on hand to answer any questions about how to get started, with attendees also able to connect with other local authority representatives to share ideas and discuss progress made to date.
Hosted by the British Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association (BVRLA), in conjunction with the Energy Saving Trust and Novuna Vehicle Solutions, the free event will allow delegates to:
- Benchmark where they sit nationally with local EV charging plans
- Learn from firms at the forefront of the transition to zero emissions
- Receive useful tools to help with infrastructure deployment in the local area
- Network with peers, and
- Engage with members of the LEVI Support Body
The BVRLA will also be sharing the latest findings from its Fleet Friendly Charging Index.
The Index shows how local authorities compare to each other when considering EV charging infrastructure strategies, as well as what fleet engagement is taking place and whether authorities are applying for external support.
Attendees will gain a better understanding of the challenges relating to the roll out of EV charging, the value of partnerships in resolving these issues, and where they can obtain help when deploying charging in their local areas.
Free spots are available to representatives of local authorities across the UK.
Spaces are limited and can be secured online here.
