Dominic Phinn is Head of Transport at global NGO, Climate Group, who are focused on reducing carbon emissions.

The organisation’s big focus is on EV100, a network of 130 companies committed to zero emission vehicles, working with them to identify solutions and  influence policy, to make sure the transition accelerates.

In this video, Dominic explains there has been a lot of progress but barriers remain, especially with bigger vehicles. EV100 aims to leave no communities behind as wall as to make sure vehicles are affordable, available and practical.

As for the event, Dominic remarks on the number of private and public sector fleets in the room, with a crucial role to play in demonstrating that the technology works, demonstrating the demand for these vehicles and most importantly, making sure this community has a voice to government.

“Its’s great to see so many key people in the room, decision makers. Some familiar faces and a lot of new faces. It feels like a really good addition to this calendar. As we see the transition accelerate, we need more of these forums to work through the problems of implementation.”
