Transport + Energy‘s Head of Content James Evison sat down with EY’s Maria Bengtsson to discuss the company’s plans on fleet decarbonisation, mobility and the energy transition.
Bengtsson is EY’s UK & Ireland Mobility Leader, and focusses on mobility and the energy transition at EY. She has worked in professional services for over 20 years, primarily advising businesses in the energy and mobility sectors. Before that, she worked in commercial finance for a leading multinational automotive manufacturer.
She also manages a Valuations team focussed on the energy transition, supporting organisations looking to move away from fossil fuels, including automotive businesses, transport and logistics companies, charge point operators, infrastructure funds, renewable energy developers, and oil and gas majors.
In addition, Bengtsson and her team provide valuations for various purposes, such as investment evaluation, pre- and post-transaction analysis, financial reporting and regulatory compliance.
She has advised many organisations on their business cases for investment in the energy transition. By assessing the financial viability of business cases, Bengtsson helps to provide companies and investors with the confidence to actively advance their progression toward becoming more sustainable businesses, particularly in relation to the energy transition.
