Hospitality, leisure and retail sector electric vehicle (EV) chargepoint operator RAW Charging has recently completed the roll-out of electric vehicle chargers for McArthurGlen in the UK and Europe.
The work has seen the operator install 326 charging bays across the McArthurGlen portfolio in the UK and Europe.
In the UK, RAW has commenced work at the final two sites, McArthurGlen Designer Outlets in the West Midlands and Swindon, installing 10 and 24 EV charging bays respectively.
At the same time in Europe, it has recently completed three new sites in Italy at La Reggia, Castel Romano and Noventa, with a further installation in the pipeline at Serravalle. Each site contains more than 20 EV charging bays.
The roll-out forms part of RAW’s commercial property strategy working with some of the largest landlords in the UK and Europe.
As part of the roll-out, RAW completed its largest ever site at Paris-Giverny where 144 22kW EV charging bays were installed for shoppers. This was the single largest roll-out of ChargePoint’s CP6000 AC charging solution. RAW anticipates that the final schemes, McArthurGlen Designer Outlet West Midlands, Swindon and Serravalle, will be completed by mid-2025.
To meet the increasing demand for EV charging, RAW is working with commercial property owners, such as Aviva Investors, SEGRO, Hammerson and aberdeen to develop brownfield land into ultra rapid EV charging hubs.
RAW provides a turnkey solution for commercial property landlords who have parcels of land that are not being used to their full potential. On behalf of the landlords, RAW completes the planning, construction and delivery of the scheme turning land that is not being used to its full potential into a yielding asset within the property portfolio.
Over the course of 2024, RAW has also installed chargers at sites as varied as National Trust places, Bespoke Hotels and Merlin Entertainments parks.
