Keynote speakers confirmed for Transport + Energy Forum

Net zero ‘tsar’ Chris Skidmore MP and Rosamund Adoo-Kissi-Debrah, clean air campaigner, director of the Ella Roberta Foundation – lead the speaker lineup at this year’s Transport + Energy Forum.

The second Transport + Energy Forum will take place on 16th November in Birmingham – with a key focus for the event centred around moving further and faster to accelerate the transition to a decarbonised future.

The event, which is taking place at the Birmingham Conference & Events Centre, will bring together over 200 transport and energy leaders with some of the most compelling speakers from across the sectors to take part in presentations, panel discussions and networking sessions.

British politician Chris Skidmore – commonly referred to as the Government’s climate tsar for overseeing the flagship Net-Zero Review, recently spoke out after the government announced plans to sign-off on new oil and gas licences to improve energy security.

Rosamund Adoo-Kissi-Debrah is a grassroots campaigner in Lewisham raising awareness of asthma and the health problems that can be caused by air pollution, following the death of her 9-year old daughter, Ella Roberta, in 2013. She is now a leading light in the global fight against air pollution, a position recognised by the World Health Organisation, who made her a BreatheLife Ambassador.

Other confirmed speakers include motoring broadcaster and journalist Quentin Willson, AA President Edmund King, Osprey Charging CEO Ian Johnston, Gill Nowell, – Head of EV Communications for LV= General Insurance and ElectriX, GRIDSERVE CEO Toddington Harper and Jason Torrance, Interim Chief Executive at UK100 – with further speakers set to be announced.
