Details of Transport + Energy Forum 2023 announced

The second Transport + Energy Forum will take place on 16th November in Birmingham, the organisers have announced – with a key focus for the event centred around moving further and faster to accelerate the transition to a decarbonised future.

The event, which is taking place at the Birmingham Conference & Events Centre, will bring together over 200 transport and energy leaders with some of the most compelling speakers from across the sectors to take part in presentations, panel discussions and networking sessions.

British politician Chris Skidmore – commonly referred to as the Government’s climate tzar for overseeing the flagship Net-Zero Review, leads the speaker lineup.

Other confirmed speakers include motoring broadcaster and journalist Quentin Willson, Mark Constable from Trojan Energy, John Jenkins from Motability Operations and Jason Torrance from UK100 – with further speakers set to be announced in the coming weeks. You can view details of confirmed speakers here.

Attendees will include industry professionals from a wide range of organisations, from government decision makers, to consultancies, construction and engineering companies, through to transport planners, vehicle manufacturers and technology innovators.

Sponsors already confirmed include Char.gy, Trojan Energy, EletriX, Motability Operations, Fastned, The AA and Direct Line Group.

Alec Peachey, Editorial Director for Transport + Energy, comments: ”I was blown away by the positive reaction to our inaugural event last year. The need for collaboration across both sectors continues with ever increasing urgency and we must move further and faster to move the needle on climate change. We are therefore delighted to announce our second event, which promises to convene some of the greatest minds from both sectors to create a lively, absorbing and enjoyable day.

‘’As last year, we have a special focus for local authorities, to whom we are offering fully funded places. For these delegates, it’s the chance to learn, network and discuss their issues with the key professionals from both sectors who will be working directly with them in the decarbonisation evolution.’’

The Forum is a day of presentations, panel discussions and networking, followed by a more informal evening networking dinner and speaker. The organisers are offering a 10% early bird discount until 6th June.
