Rightcharge sees 100% rise in the number of requests for charge point installs
Rightcharge has seen a 100% rise in the number of requests for charge point installs from British consumers as the window for claiming OZEV grant narrows.
Rightcharge (an all-in-one charge point and EV-friendly energy tariff comparison website) has seen a 100% rise in in the number of requests for charge point installs compared to last month (which was its most popular month to date).
The OZEV Grant (Office for Zero Emission Vehicles) is ending on 31st March. It provides up to £350 off the cost of buying & installing a home charging point for an electric vehicle.
To avoid UK EV drivers missing out on the £350 OZEV grant Rightcharge is recommending they request a charge point install via its site (which chooses the most suited installer from 50+) by the end of this month – to allow the time to get the right installer and grant by 31st March.
Charlie Cook, Founder of Rightcharge, said: “We’ve seen a 100% rise in in the number of requests for charge point installs between December and January which indicates that Brits are moving fast to take advantage of the OZEV grant before it’s too late. Major charge point providers removed the opportunity to access the grant for direct enquiries in late 2022.
“We have been able to continue offering access to the grant through January, however, this may only last a few more days and we recommend drivers kick off their journey for a charge point install in January via our site to avoid missing out. We work with over 50 of the best charge point manufacturers and installers in the UK and will connect you to the one most suitable to your personal needs and circumstances.”
