Transport + Energy Awards launched at the Forum last year. 3ti scooped the award for Best Product or New Technology. Ten months on, we talk to Clare Slaven their Head of Marketing about the difference winning made to the business.

How did you feel about winning the award last year?

Just to be there as finalists (with industry key players) was a fantastic achievement for 3ti, but to actually win the award for Best New product / technology was euphoric. We are a small team and had only recently launched Papilio3 our EV solar charging hub so it was huge kudos for our whole team who had worked incredibly hard.

What difference has it made to your business?

Internally it was great motivation to keep improving the product – to feel we really are leaving something better behind. Externally we were able to use the award to elevate our position, credibility, reaffirm the tech and innovation that Papilio3 was delivering to organisations (and still is) and use it as part of our marketing and sales campaigns.

What effect did the recognition for your work have on your teams?

As mentioned it was huge recognition and something the whole company celebrated, especially considering the respect and reputation that Alec and Transport + Energy has in the industry.

Will you be entering the awards again this year?

Unfortunately, Papilio3 won’t meet the criteria this year – the Papilio3 V2X Fast Hub is still being trialled as a prototype. However, we are extremely excited about future developments and the growing long list of customers who are taking advantage of fast reliable EV solar charging for fleets, workplaces and destinations – as we continue to drive towards the electrification of the transport sector!

The deadline for nominations for this year’s awards has been extended until Monday 16 September – enter now https://transportandenergy.com/awards-2024/
