Sara Sloman joins Paythru as Director of Future Fleet
Electric vehicle (EV) advocate Sara Sloman has been appointed as Director of Future Fleet at payments technology company Paythru.
Sara will start her new role on 25 April and joins the company from Elmtronics, where she held the role of Head of Future Mobility Partnerships.
Paythru is on a mission to solve some of the most common EV charging issues that charge point operators (CPOs) and EV customers are facing.
The company are experienced in handling thousands of transactions a month for fleet, private EV drivers and e-Mobility solution providers. Together with partners Infinium Logistics Solutions and Flowbird, Paythru has developed an interface that lets users locate, book, and pay for services, which can sit seamlessly behind parking and charging apps and websites.
Payments need to be split between chargepoint providers, energy companies, and parking operators or roaming providers. Paythru integrates multiple parties and manages the bespoke split settlements behind the scenes and cuts the cost of the transaction for the CPO in doing so.
Talking about joining Paythru, Sara Sloman said: “I am delighted to be joining Paythru. A key part of my role will be to ensure we are putting the user experience at the heart of smart mobility infrastructure.
“The first hurdle is always getting the right chargers in the right place, but now it is also about establishing the behind-the-scenes interface between the multiple parties that will underpin the success of our transition away from internal combustion engines. I aim to support infrastructure providers to work collaboratively across the energy and transport sectors by creating a seamless and painless experience for the end user and the operator.”
James O’Neill, CEO at Paythru added: “Paythru can be the glue that holds together complex multi-party transactions, all while being seamless and invisible to the user. We are delighted that Sara will be joining us, bringing with her a wealth of experience and energy to help us ensure fleets are ready for the transition and accelerate the adoption of EV and wider zero emission mobility.”
Sara has worked to deliver sustainable transport infrastructure projects for over 15 years both in the public and private sector. She brings an understanding of the lifecycle of EV infrastructure and the necessary steps required to successfully implement an effective sustainability strategy. Sara believes in supporting all modes of transport for a sustainable future and her passion has always been in clean energy and zero emission mobility.
