Peugeot EVs sold to UK police and fire services
Demand for Peugeot electric vehicles has been significant from the UK police and fire services, the manufacturer has claimed.
The French firm said that 13% of vehicles ordered by the services were pure electric with the e-208 being the “best seller” for emergency services.
The vehicle, which was only launched in January 2020, has been ordered 81 times by the services, creating a total fleet of 611 cars to 38 separate regional authorities. The cars have been placed into operational use immediately, supporting frontline services across the country.
Other vehicles which have also been ordered by the services include the standard 308, 308 SW, Traveller, 3008 SUV and 5008 SUV, Partner, Expert and Boxer vans as well as the all-new 208 alongside the e-208.
The manufacturer has a longstanding relationship with the UK emergency services with Peugeot providing 5000 vehicles from 2015 to the present.
