Chris is a commercial energy and mobility lawyer with nearly 20 years’ experience advising on renewable infrastructure projects across the UK and internationally. His practice focuses on battery storage, solar, wind and EV charging, acting for developers, investors, funders and asset owners on procurement, trading, optimisation and revenue arrangements. Recent work includes advising on power purchase agreements (PPAs), carbon offset schemes and innovative flexibility projects.
Prior to joining Shoosmiths, Chris advised on energy policy and chaired the Electricity Storage Network’s Markets and Revenues Group. He has played a key role in a number of landmark energy transactions and is widely recognised for his expertise in battery storage and EV infrastructure.
Ranked in Chambers UK and recognised in The Lawyer’s Hot 100, Chris is a regular commentator on energy market developments, frequently speaking at industry events and contributing to Shoosmiths’ thought leadership on the energy transition and mobility sector.
