Charlie Gilbert is a Partner at Field Dynamics. He works on geospatial data-led planning for electric vehicles, public charging, and heat decarbonisation, much of it demand forecasting for DSOs at property and site level. His work places future low carbon technology demand at specific locations and dates, combining national energy scenarios with local information from connections activity, local authority plans, and development pipelines. He works with network operators across the UK on EV uptake, fleet and freight electrification, domestic, commercial and industrial heating and cooling, and front end tools to support the connections process. Charlie has a technical background in software development, GIS, modelling and optimisation.
