Arnold Clark Charge has celebrated opening its 60th site in the UK by opening new public ultra-rapid electric vehicle (EV) chargers in Wolverhampton.
The public charging network has launched six new ultra-rapid electric vehicle (EV) chargers at its Wolverhampton Motorstore as it reaches its 60th charging site across the UK.
Located at Pantheon Park, Wednesfield Way, the new ultra-rapid chargers are open to all, and will support both local EV users and those travelling longer distances through the region, the firm said.
Drivers using the charging hub will benefit from prices at 55p per kWh, which is lower than the current UK average of 76p per kWh, it added.
Payments can be made easily via the Arnold Clark app, through roaming partners, or by using contactless payment at the chargers. Customers can also enjoy a free coffee in branch while their vehicle charges.
Pablo Levi, Group Sustainability Manager at Arnold Clark, said:
“The opening of our Wolverhampton site is a proud milestone for Arnold Clark Charge as it becomes our 60th location across the UK.
“Our aim is to make EV charging straightforward, cost-effective and widely accessible, whether customers are driving locally or travelling further afield.
“By investing in ultra-rapid charging at important locations like this, we’re supporting the shift to electric vehicles while delivering tangible benefits for drivers and local communities.”
