The issue of public-sector electric vehicle (EV) charging will be the core focus of the next Transport Technology Forum (TTF) Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure Interest Group.
Meeting ahead of the TTF’s annual conference Leicestershire in March, founder and editorial director of Transport + Energy Alec Peachey will be chairing an afternoon session at the event.
The meeting comes as local authorities aim to scale-up EV charging infrastructure through the Local Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (LEVI) funding and other schemes. It will look at the issues beyond deployment and the challenges and opportunities around infrastructure in the current climate.
This will include issues such as wireless charging technology and cross-pavement solutions, alongside the budgetry and challenges for local authorities, including energy constraints, accessibility, cyber security and procurement.
The group will hear from the Department for Transport and the Office for Zero Emission Vehicles, as well as the Energy Saving Trust and a collection of industry representatives, including Transport + Energy.
The event takes place on 16 March.
