Following network expansion, including 20 new ultra-rapid charging hubs totalling 200 bays, Osprey Charging will end 2025 with more than 1,500 rapid and ultra-rapid charge points, it has announced.
As a result, the Osprey Charging Network now claims to have more open-access rapid charge points than BP Pulse, making it the second largest network of its kind in the UK, it said.
This milestone reflects the strength of our pipeline and breadth and depth of commercial landlord partners, as well as strategic land development and purchase, the company added.
It said that another 1,500 charge points funded and scheduled for deployment over the next few years, and, while rapidly expanding, the firm also said that “the focus remains on quality of infrastructure”, which has seen it earn a Top 3 ranking in the Zapmap Driver Survey for a second year running.
Osprey said it had a customer focus on site location and distribution, vehicle owners, and easy charging and payments by fleets of all sizes, which was “underpinned by many years of investment into technology and data, including proprietary software platform Osprey Iris that manages the charging network”.
In 2025, Osprey Charging Network’s continued growth was backed by a group of financial institutions, together providing £110m in senior debt facilities to accelerate the roll out of Osprey EV charging hubs at prime locations across the UK.
The company also retains strong support from its original equity investors, it concluded.
