A programme rewarding flexible electric vehicle charging has been launched by ev.energy, the company behind the full-lifecycle multi-DER orchestration platform, Eve.
Drivers can join through the ev.energy app, connect their vehicle or charger, and are paid for every eligible smart charge.
Alongside the consumer programme, the company opened the Charge & Earn Network, giving businesses a route to earn from the flexibility their own drivers supply.
Since going live, the programme has more than 10,000 flexible assets enrolled and trading in energy markets, with participants earning an average of £25 each month for 5 charges per week.
Charge & Earn is built around three principles: ease of use through automatic enrolment for smart charging through the app, being open to all, and paying out on every eligible charge.
The programme runs end-to-end on Eve, ev.energy’s multi-DER orchestration platform, deployed across 55+ programmes in North America and Europe.
Alongside the consumer programme, ev.energy is launching the Charge & Earn Network for businesses. Retailers, fleets, charge point operators, and anyone managing EV charging on behalf of others can join the Network, enrol their users into Charge & Earn, and get paid for the flexibility they help bring onto the platform.
Partners gain access to ev.energy’s APIs and its driver network, giving them the full weight of the Charge & Earn proposition to offer their own customers, without building energy market expertise or settlement capability in-house.
The more users enrolled in Charge & Earn, the more flexibility ev.energy can bring to the grid, it said.
