Transport + Energy has launched its Fleet Electrification Manifesto, providing a critical and timely overview for the sector to interrogate the current state of progress – with the date for next year’s Forum now confirmed.

The document follows the Fleet Electrification Forum in July at Warwick Conferences, and outlines the sector’s key asks to the UK Government and industry.

The Manifesto draws on insight from the Forum, taking on board the discussion from the keynote speeches and sector-wide debates which occurred throughout the event.

This includes vital insight into shared charging infrastructure for fleets, the energy transition, the devolved picture with the Welsh Government, and the significant challenges of decarbonising heavy goods vehicles.

There is also insight into other hard to transition areas, such as emergency vehicles, and the challenges around cities and rural roll-outs of fleet and associated charging infrastructure.

In addition, it provides examples from some of the biggest fleets in the sector, such as the Royal Mail, and how these firms, which are responsible for more than 100,000 vehicles have managed to successfully electrify their fleets.

The Manifesto outlines the key points which the sector wanted to communicate to the wider industry, in terms of its needs and challenges, as well as provide a document for government, including local, regional and national politicians, to assess the position of some of the biggest players in the fleet electrification sector today.

Speaking about the launch of the Manifesto, founder of Transport + Energy said:

“I’m delighted that Transport + Energy are publishing its first Fleet Electrification Manifesto.

“The manifesto highlights the large, diverse range of discussion captured during the Forum, and has ensured that the voice of the fleet industry is being captured at this critical time for the sector.

“Myself and the team at T+E look forward to welcoming everyone back to Warwick Conferences in November for the annual T+E Forum, which again will bring together and facilitate the collaboration across the private and public sectors, ensuring that the UK’s ambitious decarbonisation targets are met.”

The Manifesto also builds on the Transport + Energy Delivery Plan, which followed the T+E Forum last November, and which was presented to the government in January this year.

Next year’s Fleet Electrification Forum will take place on 8th July 2026 at Warwick Conferences. You can find out more and register your interest here.
