Ultra-rapid electric vehicle (EV) network PoGo Charge has launched a new campaign offering lower cost EV charging at a selection of sites across the UK.

The new Power Up Price Drop campaign will run for 12 weeks between 18 August to 10 November. It will see reduced tariff prices of £0.65/kWh – lowered from £0.79/kW – across 12 DC rapid & ultra-rapid charger locations, ranging from South Wales to Suffolk.

The company said that the new campaign was part of its “continued commitment to EV adoption”.

The participating sites feature a mix of retail and hospitality locations across the UK, all with onsite amenities, including:

  • Bicester (Holm Square)
  • Brackley (Pavillions Way, Lark Rise)
  • Derby (London Road, Alvaston)
  • Erdington (Kingsbury Road)
  • Ipswich (Suffolk Retail Park, London Road)
  • Llanelli (Cross Hands)
  • Maypole (Travelodge Birmingham Maypole, Alcester)
  • Northampton (Holiday Inn Rugby, Crick)
  • Nottingham (Holiday Inn Derby, Bostocks Lane)
  • Preston (Edward V11 Quay, Navigation Way)
  • Redditch (The Quadrant, Victoria Street)
  • Wolverhampton (Store Car Park, Raynor Parade)

Greg Longden, Commercial Director at PoGo Charge, said:

“With our Power Up Price Drop promotion, we’re supporting EV drivers with what matters most – speed, reliability, and value.

“We know cost is a big consideration when planning journeys, especially over busy travel periods.

“By offering ultra-rapid charging at a reduced rate, we hope to make it easier, more affordable, and more appealing for drivers to power their trips across the UK – whether they’re long-time EV drivers or just starting out.”
