Shell Recharge has opened a new ultra-rapid electric vehicle (EV) charging site just minutes from London Luton Airport.

Located on Eaton Green Road (LU2 9HD), the site features six 150kW charge points, capable of delivering fast and efficient charging for EVs.

The high-powered units are designed to reduce charging time, helping drivers get back on the road quickly.

Shell Eaton Green Road includes a Co-Op shop with Costa Express vending machines and a hot food counter so drivers can recharge themselves their vehicles power up. Free Wi-Fi, toilets and other amenities such as Amazon Lockers and a Car Washare also available.

As well as serving local EV drivers, Shell Eaton Green Road will support both workers and passengers at Luton Airport. In 2024 over 16.7 million passengers passed through London Luton Airport.

With over 7,300 parking spaces at the airport, Shell Recharge is now conveniently located to help drivers charge quickly and efficiently in close proximity to the airport, it said.

As part of Shell’s commitment to lower carbon transportation, Shell Recharge is powered by 100% renewable electricity.
