James Brown is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport. National and international CPCs for freight and passenger transport.
After graduating with a 2(1) at the University of Kent with a prize winning transport emissions reduction related dissertation, James joined the Vauxhall graduate scheme, after which worked for Derby City Council, across several areas of the Transportation Section before spending 14 years managing a growing mixed fleet (including site and home based workforce vans) and a team of drivers across four main sites, holding the O licence, and running trips to as far away as Slovenia, as well as the more routine local bus, minibus, car, truck and van operations.
James then spent six years with EST working with fleets and key partners to assist large numbers of fleets (including local authorities of all shapes and sizes as well as freight, emergency service and private sector fleets) to improve operational standards and efficiency and commence, progress or advance their decarbonisation strategies and journeys.
