Hydrogen supplier and producer Lhyfe has joined forces with compliance automation platform Atmen to guarantee the traceability of its green and renewable hydrogen.
The move by the firm, a step towards Lhyfe’s RFNBO certification, comes as it aims to exceed current regulations before obtaining such certification.
Each delivery of Lhyfe’s green hydrogen can now be accompanied by a Digital Product Passport, which provides a complete description of the carbon footprint of the hydrogen produced, including information on energy sourcing, embedded emissions and supply chain contribution.
The company has also initiated steps to obtain RFNBO certification for hydrogen produced at its various sites. Once achieved, the digital passports will include the “RFNBO-compliant” label.
By combining Lhyfe’s expertise in renewable hydrogen production and Atmen’s advanced automation software, the partnership aims to simplify compliance with strict sustainability regulations such as RFNBO.
