The songs of Oasis once again electrified Knebworth Estate at an exclusive gig powered by electric vehicles to mark the opening of the new GRIDSERVE Electric Forecourt.

Oasis tribute act Supernova offered guests tracks such as She’s Electric, almost 30 years after the legendary band held two record-breaking concerts at the famous music venue nearby, and a year ahead of the much-anticipated reunion tour.

With more than 8.5 million fans around the world missing out on Oasis tickets, GRIDSERVE brought Britpop to Knebworth Estate for the opening of its new Stevenage Electric Forecourt on the A1(M), powered by a Kia EV6 and Genesis GV60.

Attendees were given a tour of GRIDSERVE’s new Stevenage Electric Forecourt, which has more than 30 electric charging bays, including 24 High Power bays with up to 360kW of power, capable of adding 100 miles in just five minutes.

The new Stevenage Electric Forecourt also offers a Little Fresh ‘Good To Go’ convenience store powered by Amazon’s Just Walk Out technology on-site and a Costa Coffee, as well as an EV Experience Zone and free WiFi.

Rebecca Trebble, Chief Customer Experience Officer at GRIDSERVE, said:

“We’re delighted to open this new location on the famed Knebworth Estate which has hosted some of the biggest names in music throughout history. It’s great to see that this event has brought Oasis fans together once again where they had their notable concert nearly two decades ago.

“GRIDSERVE’s Stevenage Electric Forecourt is designed to optimise the charging experience for our customers and offers some of the fastest chargers publicly available as well as shop at the new Little Fresh store powered by Amazon’s Just Walk Out technology for a seamless retail experience.”

Oasis tribute band Supernova said:

“We’re honoured to have been invited to perform at this legendary venue where Oasis had their biggest-ever concert. It’s a rewarding feeling to be able to recreate the experience for the fans who missed out on tickets at this very special opening of GRIDSERVE’s Stevenage Electric Forecourt”.
