ScottishPower launches largest early career intake
ScottishPower has launched its largest ever early career intake with the energy firm aiming to hire 325 roles for its 2025 graduate and trainee programmes.
The news comes after the company said it would double its investment in the UK to 2028 from £12bn to £24bn with more than two-thirds of the cash being in its electricity networks.
More than 200 opportunities are available in trainee roles with the energy company, alongside over 100 graduate placements.
Positions are available across its businesses and offices, including East Anglia to support ScottishPower Renewables’ offshore ambitions, and Merseyside, North Wales and Scotland, where SP Energy Networks own and operate more than 65,000km of underground cable and 40,000km of overhead lines.
Targeting roles in engineering, technology, and project management, SP Energy Networks is taking on a large number of trainees to support its multi-billion-pound investment programme to upgrade Scotland’s transmission network to enabling more renewable electricity to connect into the network.
