Transport + Energy interviewed a number of industry figures at its recent Transport + Energy Forum event.

This week, we hear from Dr Joanna White, Roads Development Director, National Highways.

She commented: “At National Highways we cannot solve the decarbonisation problem that we face on our roads alone. Collaborating with others, for example the DNOs; National Grid and local authorities is fundamental in making sure that we can make that change and enable decarbonisation across our network.”

The inaugural Transport + Energy Forum brought together a range of different stakeholders including local authorities, central government, the supply chain, vehicle manufacturers, energy networks and trade associations – to discuss the actions that need to be taken to reach net zero.

The event took place at the Birmingham Conference & Events Centre on 17th November 2022 and featured an overarching theme of ‘Taking action to decarbonise now’.

This year’s event will take place at the same venue on Thursday 16th November 2023. Find out more and register here.
