EV charging company Zaptec has announced a strategic partnership with Kraken, the operating system for utilities.
Zaptec customers will be able to access intelligent EV tariffs, optimise charging, reduce energy costs, and take advantage of connected energy services from European utilities using the Kraken operating system, including EDF Energy, E.ON Next and Octopus Energy.
It comes as software integrations and partnerships are enabling Zaptec to build a charging solution that delivers new capabilities and services across the lifetime of its chargers. This includes smart tariffs, solar integration, as well as vehicle-to-grid (V2G) and energy flexibility in the future.
The news about the deal with Kraken follows Zaptec becoming the first manufacturer to earn the Mercury Mark for an AC EV charger.
The Mercury Consortium is a vendor-neutral, nonprofit organization. helping make connected energy services, including smart charging and energy flexibility, more accessible.
