Ultra-rapid EV charging network InstaVolt is expanding its partnership with property development and investment company British Land.
The move will see the two companies continue work on one of the UK’s largest retail park EV charging rollouts, with 18 British Land locations already progressing through development, and 273 charging units between them.
Five of the sites are already live, with the remainder due for activation across the coming months.
Two sites currently in development – at Reading Gate and Kingston, Milton Keynes – will feature on-site battery energy storage.
The technology helps maintain consistent ultra-rapid performance during the busiest periods and eases demand on the local grid, supporting reliable charging even at peak times, the companies said.
Drivers can also take advantage of InstaVolt’s off-peak rates after 8pm through the InstaVolt app. All the sites are open 24/7, for charging, coffee and food.
