The latest webinar in Transport + Energy‘s masterclass series has been announced in partnership with Qwello.

This T+E masterclass will look at a significant consideration for local authorities around the implementation of EV charging infrastructure: the vital issue of procurement.

Due to the variety of decision-making responsibilities across procurement for different local authorities, this is a particularly pertinent issue to consider carefully, especially for those new, or in an embryonic stage, around the implementation of EV charging.

Making a robust case and ensuring success at any early stage in planning the programme can drive down the time of implementation from years to months – a critical element during the acceleration of electric vehicle growth nationally and locally.

This webinar, exclusively for local authorities, will consider exactly how success is achieved, including the various elements of procurement, including what a good tender looks like, the different funding routes and LEVI, initial assessment and planning, working with the CPO, feasibility studies, and understanding the procurement frameworks for suppliers.

It will feature specific, detailed local authority case studies, delivered by officers, highlighting and explaining the different challenges, and provide expert guidance and key takeaways for those going through the process.

Speakers:

  • James Evison: Content Manager, Transport + Energy
  • Vicky Morgan: Bid Manager, Qwello
  • Stephen Morris: Project Lead for EV infrastructure, Cheshire East Council
  • Katie Pudney: EV and Charging Strategy Lead, Essex County Council
  • Martin Schaeferbarthold: EV Infrastructure Strategist, Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council
