Electric vehicle (EV) chargepoint operator (CPO) for the leisure, hospitality and retail sectors, RAW Charging, is opening a new EV charging hub in partnership with Landsec in Manchester.

Located at entertainment and dining site Parrs Wood, Didsbury, the hub is part of the company’s £24.5m national rollout. It will see 26 new EV charging bays installed, offering a mix of ultra rapid, rapid and fast charging to suit all drivers.

It comes as the CPO expands its network across Landsec’s portfolio throughout 2026.

Its Parrs Wood hub is the third major hub launch, as RAW Charging and Landsec embark on a nationwide rollout that will see over 1000 new charging bays installed across 28 flagship retail and leisure destinations

RAW and Landsec said they were “committed to upgrading legacy infrastructure and delivering the very best in EV charging technology for millions of visitors each year”.

Jason Simpson, CEO, RAW Charging, said:

“We are thrilled to launch our newest EV charging hub with Landsec at Parrs Wood, Manchester, a destination that truly embodies our mission to connect amazing places. By bringing reliable, rapid, and accessible charging to where people spend their time, we’re not just powering vehicles, we’re powering experiences.

“This is a further step in a transformative national rollout that will see RAW Charging and Landsec deliver the UK’s most customer-centric EV charging network across iconic destinations. We look forward to welcoming drivers to Parrs Wood and to many more Landsec sites in the months ahead.”

Mark Welsby, Centre Manager, Parrs Wood, said:

“We are absolutely delighted to welcome RAW Charging to Parrs Wood. As one of Manchester’s leading leisure destinations, it’s vital that we continue to enhance the experience for our visitors, and the addition of RAW’s state-of-the-art EV charging hub does exactly that.

“With so many people coming here to enjoy our cinema, bowling, gym, restaurants and more, having reliable and convenient charging on site means guests can relax and make the most of their visit. We look forward to seeing the positive impact this will have for our customers and the wider community as we support the transition to greener travel.”
