Rapid and ultra-rapid destination charging network evyve has launched its new weekend pay-as-you-go (PAYG) charging tariff starting from just 48p/kWh across more than 200 locations.

The offer also extends to evyve’s growing network of ultra-rapid charging hubs, with more than 100 bays now live and operational, delivering charging speeds from 150kW to 300kW.

The new rate applies from 5pm on Friday until midnight on Sunday, and on all bank holidays. Drivers paying via contactless will pay 55p/kWh, with evyve app users paying just 48p/kWh. Weekday app prices also fall, dropping to 69p/kWh.

The firm is one of the first CPOs to introduce dedicated weekend pricing, it said.

The evyve app is powered by EV charging platform Monta, and offers discounts alongside instant VAT receipt downloads, live battery monitoring, and real-time charger availability and pricing.

James Moat, CEO of evyve, said:

“We know that for many EV drivers, weekends are when they’re most likely to be topping up – whether that’s on a family day out, a road trip, or popping out for a bite to eat.

“We wanted to make sure that charging at an evyve point is genuinely affordable when people need it most. At 48p per kWh for app users and 55p for contactless, our weekend rates are significantly cheaper than the standard tariffs at most major rapid networks, and they’re available from Friday evening right through to Sunday night – not just during off-peak hours overnight.”
