EV Charge Point Operator EVCP solutions has launched its first electric vehicle (EV) charging site at Kew Retail Park in Southport, under the brand ‘Charge & Go!’.

Its first ultra-rapid hub is now live, featuring four bays with charging speeds of up to 150 kW and launch pricing – through its app and contactless payment – of 69p/kWh.

The new network will have community at its heart and be committed to providing effortless, accessible, reliable charging for all.

The launch also coincides with EVCP solutions’ recent EVIES win for EV Start-Up of the Year.

EVCP Head of EV Charging, Graeme Patton, commented:

“It’s exciting to get our first Charge & Go! site live in Southport, and there will be many more to come over the coming months and years.

“Our aim is to support local businesses and residents, as well as bringing more EV charging infrastructure to rural areas and multi-use venues over time, including community hubs, sporting arenas, leisure and hospitality destinations.”

“We will also be focusing on the right charger in the right location and so whilst majoring on Ultra-Fast Charging (150kW+), AC technology (7.4 kW) is also part of our plan.”

Charge & Go! can be found on the App store and Google play, and charging is also available through roaming partners including Zapmap, Electroverse and Allstar.
