Ultra-rapid EV charging firm LEAP24 is launching a limited-time promotion at a hub near to London City Airport.

From 9–15 June, EV drivers can plug in at LEAP24’s new 150kW ultra-rapid charging station in Silvertown for just 1p per kWh, 24 hours a day.

The move means a potential £1 for a full charge, which it describes as a “a rare opportunity for drivers of taxis, commercial fleets, and private vehicles to save big while charging fast”.

Located in a Shurgard car park just 4 minutes from London City Airport, the charging hub is built for busy drivers on the move, including taxi drivers, delivery vans, or commuters.

It includes 150kW ultra-rapid charging, with most EVs gaining a significant charge in just 20–30 minutes, and a charge for 1p per kWh from 9–15 June. The hub is powered by 100% renewable energy from wind and solar.

Pelle Schlichting, Founder & CEO at LEAP24, said:

“We’re excited to launch this incredible offer right where drivers need it most—by the airport, on key routes,
and with true ultra-rapid speed.

“This promotion is a great way to try the network, but even at our regular 69p per kWh, we’re delivering London’s best value for high-speed public charging.”
