Logistics operator Welch Group has partnered with Fleete to efficiently manage its charging across its UK fleet using the EVO charger management platform.

Welch Group are enhancing their depot charging infrastructure with Fleete’s software to enable bookings, corporate billing, reporting and analytics capabilities.

The firm aims to be a “progressive UK logistics operator” which is “leading the charge in electric HGV adoption” through hands-on innovation, strategic partnerships, and investment in future-ready infrastructure.

Fleete supports the transition to electric road transport by designing and building charging infrastructure at depots and strategic hub locations.

Its mission is to make charging convenient, simple, and cost-effective, with its proprietary charger management software aiming to be “key to a seamless transition”, it said, allowing fleet operators to manage booking, billing, and reporting of charge sessions across their fleet both at depots and at shared sites such as Fleete’s charging hubs.

Chris Morrison, Chief Executive Officer at Fleete, said

“Welch Group are a market leader in the transition to electric trucks in the road transport sector. Fleete are proud to be able to support this transition through our software platform which will extend the booking, billing, and reporting capabilities of their depot chargers and give them access to the eFreight2030 and Fleete networks in the future.”

Chris Welch, Managing Director, Welch Group, said

“We’re constantly looking for ways to reduce complexity and increase visibility. Fleete’s software does both, helping us optimise how we use our depot chargers today, and preparing us for highly utilised shared infrastructure tomorrow.”

William Quan, Chief Technology Officer at Fleete Group, said:

“Fleete builds with the latest digital technologies, embracing customer centric design to provide a rich and intuitive customer experience.

“Our digital software provides streamlined charger operations. The software architecture is designed for interoperability – it works with all major charger brands and can be integrated into fleet management systems and corporate billing systems via API. We look forward to the collaboration with Welch Group to deploy our latest software.”
