The Transport Technology Forum’s (TTF) EV Working Group will meet next month to discuss funding, planning and implementation, and kerbside booking technology for local authorities’ charging infrastructure.
The meeting in Stafford on 8 March is designed to help authorities and the supply chain share best practice in EV charging infrastructure installation through expert-led panel sessions, interactive workshops, and real-world case study presentations.
The free event for local authorities explores the innovative approaches being adopted in the deployment of electric vehicle charging infrastructure to deliver accessible, efficient, and sustainable charging solutions that support the transition to cleaner transport.
The meeting features discussions and presentations on planning and implementing EV charging networks tailored to local needs, the challenges and solutions around implementing dynamic Kerbside booking and addressing challenges in accessibility and public engagement around cross-pavement solutions for charging EVs.
There will also be a session on integrating EV charging with broader sustainability and urban planning initiatives, and participants will learn about successful examples from local authorities showcasing how challenges have been tackled and how innovative solutions have delivered measurable benefits for communities.
Shamala Gadgil, who chairs this TTF’s Working Group, said:
