The Transport Technology Forum’s Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Working Group will host a day of expert-led sessions, interactive workshops, and real-world case study presentations at an in-person meeting in Stafford on 18 March.

The event is designed specifically for local authorities to explore innovative approaches and share best practices in the deployment of electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure. As EV adoption continues to grow, the role of local authorities is critical in ensuring accessible, efficient, and sustainable charging solutions that support the transition to cleaner transport.

The meeting features discussions and presentations on planning and implementing EV charging networks tailored to local needs, the challenges and solutions around implementing dynamic Kerbside booking and addressing challenges in accessibility and public engagement around cross-pavement solutions for charging EVs.

There will also be a discussion on integrating EV charging with broader sustainability and urban planning initiatives and hear about successful examples from local authorities showcasing how challenges have been tackled and how innovative solutions have delivered measurable benefits for communities.

Participants will also have the opportunity to network with peers, industry experts, and solution providers to discuss strategies and foster collaborations.

“Whether your focus is on on-street residential charging, rapid hubs, or commercial fleet solutions, this event will provide actionable guidance and practical tools to help local authorities lead in delivering the EV infrastructure their communities need,” commented Working Group Chair and charging infrastructure expert Shamala Gadgil (pictured). “Join us to shape the future of electric mobility and drive progress towards a sustainable, low-carbon transport system.”

The meeting is sponsored by Mobius Networks, who will be exhibiting and speaking at the event, while a limited amount of exhibition space is still available. It takes place at Beaconsfield Conference Centre, Stafford Education and Enterprise Park on Tuesday 18 March.
