Fastned expands UK network with three new ultra-rapid charging hubs
Fastned has launched three state-of-the-art charging hubs in Birmingham, Bradford and Dover, with their first 400kW chargers going live in the UK.

Commenting on the new stations, Tom Hurst, UK Country Manager, Fastned, said:
“We’re delighted to be opening our first charging hub in Birmingham and the West Midlands. This will be an important piece of the charging puzzle in the area, bringing more charging options to EV drivers which will inevitably support the EV transition in the area and across the UK.”
Talking about the Bradford site, he added: “Our Cutler Heights charging hub expands our network in the north-west of England and forms an important piece of the charging puzzle in a region with limited ultra-rapid charging. By bringing more charging options to Bradford, we’re helping to support the EV transition in the area and across the UK.”
Hurst says the site in Dover will make summer road trips to Europe much easier with the new charging hub near the Port of Dover.
“Drivers will no longer have to worry about getting on the ferry with low battery, they can now easily top up just before they start their holiday,” he commented.
A spokesperson from the Port of Dover, said:
“The new Costa drive-thru and Fastned electric vehicle charging bays provide an additional traveller welfare facility just before our customers set sail across to France. As part of the Port’s journey to 2050 to become the UK’s most seamless, sustainable and tech enabled Port, services like this are helping us to deliver these long-term goals and show how important it is to work with national partners to achieve this.”
