RAW Charging has announced the launch of electric vehicle (EV) charging facilities at LEGOLAND Windsor Resort.

The installation forms part of RAW’s partnership with Merlin Entertainments, with the company installing EV chargers at five of the UK’s top attractions.

It is one of RAW’s largest installations to date with 38 charging bays across LEGOLAND. This includes 24 charging bays at the theme park including two priority use bays. Ten bays have been installed at the guest hotel next to the theme park. Four bays are in the LEGOLAND staff car park.

This is the first of RAW’s installations for Merlin Entertainments – chargers will also be installed at Merlin’s top attractions including Chessington World of Adventures Resort and Warwick Castle.

In 2022, LEGOLAND had over 2.4 million visitors with the majority driving to the resort as a family. The installations at LEGOLAND Windsor Resort is part of RAW’s broader mission to promote eco-friendly transportation options and enhance the guest experience across hospitality and leisure destinations.

Alongside its work with Merlin Entertainments, RAW works with some of the leading companies in the hospitality, leisure and retail sectors. Over the course of 2023, RAW installed chargers at sites as varied as National Trust places, McArthurGlen Designer Outlets and Bespoke Hotels.

Jason Simpson, CEO of RAW Charging, said:

“We are thrilled to launch EV charging facilities at LEGOLAND Windsor for the start of the 2024 season. At RAW we are totally focused on the guest experience. These installations reflect our dedication to providing seamless charging solutions for EV drivers, ensuring they can enjoy their visit to LEGOLAND with peace of mind. We are starting work at other Merlin sites around the country to give EV drivers a fantastic experience at all these attractions.”

Helen Bull, Divisional Director for LEGOLAND Windsor Resort, said:

“We are excited about our partnership with RAW Charging, which aligns perfectly with our commitment to environmental stewardship and enhances the visitor experience at LEGOLAND.”
