First Everything Electric London attracts 22,000 attendees

Everything Electric, powered by the Fully Charged SHOW YouTube channel – launched its biggest launch exhibition to date with the first Everything Electric London.

The first Everything Electric LONDON, for which Transport + Energy was trade media partner, drew a mixture of 22,105 consumer and trade attendees over 3 days, as the exhibition filled more than 20,000 square metres of space at the ExCel venue in the Docklands.

Styled as ‘festivals of electrification’ the Everything Electric exhibitions revolve around the cleaner, greener technologies that are already revolutionising the world we live in, including electric vehicles of all shapes and sizes, and home energy technologies too. The latest event enabled more that 10,000 test drives and rides of various electric vehicles, from the latest electric cars, to electric vans as well as a variety of micro-mobility options too. The events have also become the leading place to launch new products from electric vehicles to cleantech, and Everything Electric LONDON saw numerous launches and firsts from established and emergent brands like BYD, Duracell. Omoda, smart and Volvo, as well as exhibits from car brands such as Ford, Hyundai, KIA, Mercedes, MG, Tesla and more.

More than half of the show was focused on home-focused technologies and included a number of innovative start-ups and some prominent brands including The AA, Admiral, Auto Trader, Baxi, EON, Hello Fresh, Hive, myenergi, Octopus, OVO, Starlink, Vaillant, Yokohama and many more. At the heart of the show were evergreen visitor attractions like the Energy Advice Zone, Zero Carbon Kitchen hosted by the world’s leading plant-based chefs (Bosh!) as well as new features like the EV Review Arena hosted by international car reviewers, including ex-Top Gear presenters Rory Reid & Quentin Willson. At the heart of a content rich programme, visitors benefited from two stages of talks with energy and transport experts, and Electric Fireside Chats with the Fully Charged SHOW founder, and ex-Scrapheap Challenge presenter, Robert Llewellyn who interviewed the likes of world-leading YouTuber, Colin Furze.

BYD’s Head of UK Marketing Mark Blundell commented:

“We were delighted with Everything Electric LONDON – Our stand was constantly busy and there was a real buzz and energy throughout the event. The test drive cars were fully booked and there was a great reaction to the BYD range. Our EURO 2024 ‘Keepy Uppy’ Challenge was also a real hit with some incredible scores posted, so I’ll need to brush up on my skills! We’ll see you all at Everything Electric NORTH.”

Duracell’s Business Manager, Oliver Millar added:

“We all had a great show. Not only did everyone have a great time, with plenty of interesting conversations but we also generated £2.5m worth of potential business for our installer partners.”

Centrica’s Net Zero Marketing Lead, Lottie Hull-Sieff said:

‘”We just wanted to say a big thank you from us for Everything Electric LONDON. It was a really fantastic event, expertly executed and a great range of brands exhibiting.”

Dan Caesar, CEO of the Fully Charged SHOW, commented:

“After 14 shows worldwide in less than 6 years, it’s important to remember that it’s almost unheard of for shows of this size and scale to be so large in their launch year. We were particularly proud of this event, because of the exceptional circumstances in which it was delivered. Since we announced Everything Electric LONDON one year ago, economic conditions – especially in the electric vehicle and clean energy sectors – have changed substantially. In those twelve months, we have witnessed record inflation, recessionary conditions, a sharp rise in anti-EV misinformation and the damaging dilution of the Zero Emission Vehicle mandate; and yet, even terrible public transport and dreadful weather did little to dampen the spirits of those that attended. To deliver more than 22,000 high quality attendees to a launch exhibition is testament to the unique pulling power of our YouTube channels, and the efforts of our team and the wider industry. As with our experience of our other events, we expect Everything Electric LONDON to grow significantly year on year. Next the team turns its efforts to Everything Electric NORTH (Yorkshire Event Center, May 24th-26th) and Everything Electric SOUTH (Farnborough International, October 11th-13th). We are well on course for our trajectory towards 10 festivals of electrification every year globally by 2030, and our objective to be the pre-eminent events to convert people to cleaner, greener technologies around the world. We will announce our 2025 calendar in the Autumn.”
