Full programme for Cenex event confirmed

The full seminar programme for this year’s Cenex-LCV and Cenex-CAM event has been confirmed – with over 100 speakers and more than 30 seminar sessions lined up.

Taking place at UTAC Millbrook on 6-7 September 2023, the keynote speakers for the renowned low-carbon and connected automated mobility event are confirmed as:

  • Rt Hon Jesse Norman MP, Minister of State, Decarbonisation and Technology
  • Indro Mukerjee, CEO, Innovate UK
  • Professor Sarah Sharples, Chief Scientist, Department for Transport
  • David Bickerton, Director General, Business Sectors, Department for Business and Trade
  • Mike Hawes, CEO, The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT)
  • Ian Constance, CEO, Advanced Propulsion Centre UK

The seminar programme for the two-day event will cover themes as diverse as net-zero cities, innovations in fleet charging and the future of farming, plus the market opportunities for connected automated mobility (CAM) and the regulatory pathway for CAM.

Throughout the sessions, there will be a strong focus on overcoming barriers to implementation and adoption, reflecting the rapid progress made in both the low-carbon vehicle and connected automated mobility sectors in recent years.

As Cenex CEO Robert Evans states, “For vehicle electrification, we’re at a stage where many companies have matured their technology. It’s now less about new technology development and more about finding routes to market. This will be reflected in many of the seminar sessions across the two days of the event.”

Held across four separate seminar areas, including an innovation-centred ‘Tech Talk’ stage, the sessions will see leading industry figures from the likes of Ford, Aston Martin, DAF, Toyota, McLaren Applied, Nissan, Jaguar Land Rover and Williams Advanced Engineering share their latest developments in the areas of low-carbon vehicle and CAM technology. Speakers will also debate with their peers and audience members on the best ways to integrate and adopt these novel technologies as we head towards the next era of mobility, as well as understand emerging legislation and regulation both here in the UK and globally.

Forging strong partnerships

Alongside the seminar programme, Cenex-LCV and Cenex-CAM will feature more than 150 exhibitors spread across four indoor halls, plus an outdoor exhibition area. More than 5,000 policymakers, government agencies, funders, fleet managers, charge point infrastructure experts and thought leaders are expected to attend the event, which has cemented itself as a key fixture in the transport industry calendar.

“We’re facing economic headwinds, and sector growth is critical,” remarks Robert Evans. “UK businesses must develop connections to realise opportunities in the clean, green tech and CAM sectors. Cenex-LCV and Cenex-CAM is the perfect place to find new customers and develop collaboration partners to secure your future.”
