ElectriX to support Transport + Energy Forum event

ElectriX is a silver sponsor of this year’s Transport + Energy Forum and will play a key role in helping delegates understand some key steps to help them on the journey to electrification.

EV advocate and Head of EV Communications for LV= General Insurance and ElectriX Gill Nowell will form part of a panel at the event who are going to be discussing key steps that need to be taken to decarbonise now.

With more than two-thirds of emissions from energy production, and a third of all emissions from transport, decarbonising these two sectors will lead the net zero agenda across the world.

The idea behind the inaugural Transport + Energy Forum event is to unite professionals from both industries to help accelerate this transition.

Focusing on what and how, the Forum event will set out the breadth of the challenge faced with a real focus on actionable solutions that can be taken now. The event is taking place on 17th November at the Birmingham Conference & Events Centre.

Drivers can now take advantage of a one-stop shop which offers everything they need to get on the road with an electric car – from leasing a vehicle, through to buying a home charger and getting insurance – through ElectriX, which was recently launched by LV= General Insurance.

Many drivers are interested in making the switch but are potentially confused or put off by upfront costs, the fear of the unknown when it comes to range anxiety and battery life, or the challenges of charging while on the road.

ElectriX helps solve these issues by demystifying the buying experience and making it easy to make the switch by providing everything in one place. From finding the right car through vehicle leasing experts CBVC Vehicle Management, providing a home charging solution via leading provider Indra, and offering bespoke insurance from LV= as well as useful guidance and advice, ElectriX is designed to give drivers confidence in electric cars.

Gill Nowell said: “Decarbonisation of transport is essential on a local air quality level, and on the wider issue of helping us to achieve net zero. Having worked on both sides of the transport and energy spectrum, it’s essential that we collaborate to accelerate our transition to a low carbon future. Electric cars are an essential ingredient in this transition. Through ElectriX we’re making it simple for people to make a fully informed switch to an electric car. We know from listening to consumers that they want to be able to find everything in one place – which is exactly what we’re doing at ElectriX.”

Transport + Energy Editorial Director Alec Peachey said: “We are delighted to welcome ElectriX as one of our silver sponsors for this year’s Transport + Energy Forum event. There’s a lot of Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt (FUD) amongst companies and consumers who are trying to understand more about making the switch to electric. Therefore, it is great that initiatives such as ElectriX and its knowledge hub help to provide a great resource for electric car drivers – covering the basics, to costs and how to charge your car.

“This type of information is just as valuable to businesses as it is to individuals and with so many different stakeholder groups in attendance at our Forum event – including central government, local authorities, supply chain, associations, and key organisations – educating them really will be key. Having dedicated professionals from ElectriX on hand to help with this will prove invaluable.”
