Content to unite the sectors
It’s a pleasure to write this as the owner and editorial director of Transport + Energy – an essential resource designed to unite professionals from both sectors.
In just our third month since launch (March) we achieved almost 6,000 page views on our website and the audience keeps growing. This appetite from the industry has surpassed our expectations, so thank you for viewing transportandenergy.com.
The Covid-19 pandemic has changed digital consumption habits. As humans we now consume our news and media differently – we scroll, we listen, we tweet, we share – and at transportandenergy.com, we plan on using these forms of communications to inform and unite professionals from both the transport and energy sectors.
This is why as a business we’re pushing the boundaries as a trade media resource – we’re bringing you multiple news stories a day, have big multimedia plans and we’re utilising our expertise in social media, to bring you all the essential news stories, quicker and more efficiently than ever before.
Face-to-face networking will soon be back and I’m sure that everyone will welcome that. However, the demand for an ever-evolving news and content service will become more important – and we’ll be there to keep you informed.
When events do return companies will look for quality not quantity from physical meetings and trade show attendance. A more hybrid world will emerge from the pandemic, but this should be embraced.
Consider the environmental impact for a moment. With more than two-thirds of emissions from energy production, and also a third of all emissions from transport, decarbonising these two sectors will lead the net-zero agenda across the world.
This led to transportandenergy.com being created by myself for exactly this purpose: to unite the sectors with the common goal of decarbonisation.
Whether you’re working from home, at a manufacturing facility, or travelling for business, we will endeavour to bring you the latest content.
We look forward to being part of your journey as transport and energy professionals. If you haven’t already done so please remember to sign up for our weekly newsletter here: https://lnkd.in/eSf9upf
All the best.
Alec Peachey, Owner and Editorial Director, Transport + Energy
