A report published by the Electric Vehicle Energy Taskforce shows that the UK can deliver the tenfold increase in charge points needed to hit Net Zero but identifies five key ‘enabling conditions’ that must be met.
The Taskforce has calculated that the UK needs between 253,000 and 661,000 extra chargepoints by 2035 (with a central estimate of 490,000).
The Government has extended the availability of its Plug-in Van and Truck Grants for a further two years, meaning that the purchase of thousands of greener vans and trucks will be supported until at least 2024/25.Read more
