For local authorities – Friday 21 November 09:00-10:30
Inclusive Charging – A Practical Breakfast Briefing on Cross-Pavement Solutions
For local authorities staying overnight for the Transport + Energy Awards, we are offering a brand new opportunity for a deep dive into cross-pavement solutions with Ohme.
More than a third of drivers in the UK don’t have access to off-street parking, leaving millions at risk of being excluded from the cost and convenience of charging at home. Cross-pavement solutions offer a safe, practical way to bridge this gap.
Local councils are critical to making the EV transition fair and equitable. By enabling residents without driveways to charge at home, authorities can ensure the benefits of lower running costs, convenience and cleaner air are shared across all communities.
Join Russ Morgan from Ohme, Jonathan Jenkins from Motability Operations, Richard Evans from London Councils, plus a representative from a cross-pavement solution provider, for a breakfast panel and discussion at the Transport & Energy Forum.
Together, we’ll explore how councils can enable inclusive charging in a way that is safe, accessible and cost-effective.
The session will feature real-world case studies from live deployments, insights on accessibility and resident needs, and updates on new government support. With an interactive format, attendees will have the chance to ask questions, share experiences, and take away practical resources.
The goal: to work through how we can reduce financial and procedural hurdles for residents while giving councils the confidence they need on site suitability, safety, and liability.
If you work for a local authority and would like to attend the workshop, you will have the opportunity to sign up when you register for Transport + Energy Forum.
