Sarah Kelara is a Chartered Engineer and Head of Demand Reform at National Grid Electricity Distribution, with over 16 years’ experience across National Grid Electricity Transmission, the Electricity System Operator and NGED. She has worked across regulation, stakeholder engagement, engineering investment, and connections policy, and has played a leading role in both Clean Power 2030 and Connections Reform implementation. Sarah now leads NGED’s Demand Connections Reform programme, working with Ofgem, NESO, DESNZ and industry partners to develop reforms that support economic growth, electrification and Net Zero while ensuring fair and efficient access to the electricity distribution network.
