Entries for The Transport + Energy Awards 2026 have increased by almost half (49%) on last year as the event cements itself as a must-enter and must-win award.

The news comes as award entries closed on Friday 4 September, with a large number of applications across all 15 categories of the Awards.

Now in its fourth edition, The Transport + Energy Awards celebrates the outstanding achievements across the transport and energy sectors.

The Awards will take place on the evening of the Transport + Energy Forum on 12 November, with the judging day due to take place this week on Thursday 10 September. Shortlisted entries will then be announced.

This year, the Awards expanded into 15 categories, with the introduction of two new awards: the Quentin Willson Campaign of the Year Award, and the Energy Network Innovation Project of the Year in association with ENA.

Speaking about the awards entries, Founder and Editorial Director of Transport + Energy, Alec Peachey said:

“I am delighted to see the large number of award entries this year as the event grows from strength to strength. It is testament to the hard work and excellence being undertaken across the sectors at present, as the acceleration towards the decarbonisation of transport and energy continues.

“I look forward to the judging day on 10 September, where our list of esteemed judges from across the sectors will assess this raft of entries. Yet again, it proves the industry is not standing still and has a lot of fantastic work to shout about.

“We will publish the list of shortlisted entries after the rigorous judging process this week, and I want to congratulate all entrants.”
