Charge point operator Zest has become the latest gold partner of Transport + Energy, strengthening its role in helping shape the conversation around the future of the UK’s EV charging infrastructure.

The partnership comes as Zest continues to expand its national charging network, having recently secured major local authority contracts to deliver thousands of new public charge points across the UK. Recent projects include partnerships with Hertfordshire County Council, Thurrock Council, Lewisham Council, as well as several retailers like Aldi and Co-op, helping accelerate access to reliable public charging for residents, businesses and visitors.

As a Transport + Energy gold partner, Zest will contribute industry insight, expert commentary and practical experience from delivering large-scale charging infrastructure projects across the public and private sectors.

Robin Heap, CEO at Zest, said:

“Partnership is central to how we deliver the charging infrastructure the UK needs. By working with organisations across the public and private sectors, whether it’s local authorities or leading retailers, we are bringing reliable charging to the places where people live, work and spend their time.

“Working with Transport + Energy gives us another opportunity to share what we are learning as the market evolves and connect with the organisations shaping the future of this industry. We look forward to working with its community of partners to help make EV charging more equitable, reliable and convenient for drivers across the UK.”

Zest funds, installs and operates EV charging infrastructure for local authorities, businesses and destinations across the UK. Its in-house data science team analyses travel patterns, vehicle demand and local transport trends to identify the locations where charging infrastructure will have the greatest long-term impact.

The company is a certified B Corporation, recognising its commitment to high standards of social and environmental performance. Alongside expanding access to EV charging, Zest supports local employment, works with regional suppliers where possible and creates opportunities for young people, care leavers and those traditionally underrepresented in the workforce.

Speaking about the partnership, Alec Peachey, founder and editorial director of Transport + Energy, said:

“We are delighted to welcome Zest to our community of partners as we enter the next phase for the Transport + Energy brand with our supporters.

“As a gold partner, Zest will bring its expertise to Transport + Energy in terms of content, comment and participation in our Forum and awards.

“We are excited about the coming months and to working with the Zest team. Regular users and subscribers to Transport + Energy will see advertising, content and profile for Zest over the next year on the website, alongside their participation onstage and in the exhibition at the Forum and awards.”
