Mer AS has completed the divestment of its UK fleet charging business, Mer Fleet Services Ltd, through a management buyout.

The transaction reflects Mer’s focused “Pure Public Strategy” in the Nordics, Germany and Austria, and will see the business continue under new ownership, led by key members of the existing management team.

The new leadership team includes Paul Winchester as Chief Executive Officer, Natasha Fry as Chief Commercial Officer, Jane Crosby as Chief Financial Officer and Louise Gillingham as Chief Operating Officer.

In the coming months, the business will continue investing in its business, technology and service offering, it said, “while progressing a structured transition programme that includes phased updates to branding, digital channels and customer-facing materials.”

It said customers and partners would continue to experience “business as usual, with no disruption to operations, contracts or service delivery”.

Kristoffer Thoner, Chief Executive Officer of Mer AS, said:

“We are proud of the progress Mer Fleet Services Ltd has made in recent years. We believe this transaction positions the business well for its next phase and we wish all the best for the future.”

Paul Winchester, Chief Executive Officer of Mer Fleet Services Ltd, said:

“This is an important milestone for the business. With strong foundations in place, we are well positioned to continue delivering for customers and partners as we build on that momentum.”
